Stephen Hatchett, district attorney general of the 10th Judicial District, is newly elected to serve 
on the Tennessee District Attorneys General Conference Executive Committee. 

"Chosen by his fellow district attorneys general across the state, Gen. Hatchett will play a crucial role in guiding the overall administration of justice in Tennessee," officials said. 

“I truly appreciate the opportunity to serve on the Executive Committee for the Tennessee District Attorneys General Conference,” said Gen.

Hatchett. “The District Attorneys General and their staffs across the State of Tennessee work extremely hard keeping Tennesseans safe, and I consider it an honor to be counted among them.” 

Gen. Hatchett was raised in the Coker Creek community of Monroe County and earned a bachelor’s degree in criminology before attending the University of Tennessee College of Law. He served as assistant district attorney, assistant public defender and spent eight years in private practice, before being elected as district attorney general in 2024. 

“The Executive Committee is at the heart of every decision we make in our work to improve public safety and provide for a more prompt and efficient administration of justice throughout this great state,” saidTND AGC Executive Director Stephen Crump. “I’m confident Gen.
