Made In Chelsea original Caggie Dunlop revealed she has given birth to a baby girl and admitted she's 'exploding with love and overwhelmed by tiredness' in an Instagram post shared on Monday

The reality TV star, 36, who appeared on the E4 show for three series before leaving in 2012, revealed she has now welcomed her first child with her boyfriend, who she has not named

'I gave birth to our baby girl on Wednesday morning, Our hearts are exploding with love ♥️. And I’m completely overwhelmed by the tiredness.

'The initiation into motherhood has been unlike anything I could have imagined. I’m just trying to keep my head above water. I’ll share more in the coming days, but for now, we’re deep in the ‘newborn trenches,’ as they say.

'Everyone told me to take photos while pregnant because I’d regret it if I didn’t. At the time, I really didn’t feel like being in front of a camera… but I’m so glad we captured these, the day before she arrived.'

She continued: 'I already miss her being in my belly—the safety, the unity. It’s been replaced with a constant undercurrent of worry and anxiety.

'I remember someone once described this part as “your heart now living outside your chest”—and I’m learning what that really means.

'Every cry pierces deeply. Every feed touches a part of you you didn’t know existed.

'It’s a brutal awakening, a maddening kind of magic. I can’t believe I’m a mum.♥️'

Earlier this year Caggie announced her pregnancy news alongside a video documenting the first months of her 'surreal' pregnancy journey, admitting she's 'in awe of her body and what women do and create.'

She also shared that she and her boyfriend were keeping her baby's gender a 'surprise', and they 'cannot wait' to meet them.

Her caption read: 'Our little spirit baby is on the way. In May!! Another Taurus, like me.

'It still feels surreal to say. Pregnancy has been a wild ride, and in just three months, we'll be meeting this new little soul. I keep looking at my tummy grow and am in awe of my body and of women and what we do and what we create, It's pure magic.

'I've been taking things day by day, learning as I go. There's so much information out there about pregnancy and motherhood, what you should or shouldn't do, that it can feel overwhelming, so I've instinctively kept this time quiet and sacred and trusted in my body and what it's telling me. But now, I'm excited to share it with you all.

'I'm really enjoying this stage of pregnancy (despite the insomnia and perpetual tiredness!).

'The kicks are especially wonderful, especially when we sing to the baby and it starts kicking around.

'We've decided to keep the gender a surprise so we are constantly guessing and wondering who this little person will be… what we do know if that whoever they are, they are already deeply loved and we cannot wait to meet them.'

At the time, many of Caggie's former Made In Chelsea co-stars offered their congratulations in the comments, with Millie Mackintosh writing: 'I can't wait to meet him or her!! So so happy for you.'

Hugo Taylor wrote: 'Love ya,' while Emma Louise Connolly, who is married to MIC star Ollie Proudlock, gushed: 'the best.'

Caggie shot to fame on MIC when the show launched over ten years ago as she joined the likes of Spencer Matthews, Hugo Taylor and Millie Mackintosh in the original line up.

She had  kept her love life relatively under wraps since leaving Made In Chelsea but does share the rare loved-up snap with her current partner.

During her reality television days, Caggie's will they/won't they relationship with co-star Spencer - who is now married to Vogue Williams - was heavily documented.

In terms of her career Caggie launched her very own podcast, Saturn Returns, during lockdown.

On the podcast she chats to a plethora of experts on a whole range if subjects including sex and relationships, spirituality and diet culture.

She previously reflected on her time on Made In Chelsea with Tatler, saying: 'Made in Chelsea gave me PTSD!'

'I wanted to be a certain person in order to fit in… I was living for other people, or [being] what I thought I needed to be.

I wasn't really paying much attention to who I really was. I concealed the more melancholic aspects of myself that would write poetry.'
