We want you to use your personality to make customers feel like this is a home from home!About usThe Team Bath Gym and Fitness Centre is a unique environment aimed to target the student population, athletes and the general public.The Health & Fitness provision has recently undergone a substantial expansion leading to a new larger gym designed to cater for the growing membership base. In addition to the gym there are two purpose-built studios to hold in excess of 100 classes per week.This is an opportunity to become part of a professional and progressive organisation at the leading edge of sport, health and fitness. We pride ourselves on upholding excellent customer service and delivering fun, energetic and motivational group classes. Excellent communication skills with a genuine passion to help people get results is essential to the role.About youYou are required to hold a minimum Level 2 Fitness Instructor qualification and will be required to gain Level 3 PT qualification within 6 months. Qualifications in group exercise classes, or a desire to teach are also beneficial.You will be passionate about the industry, show sound knowledge learned from your fitness qualifications and desire to develop yourself through ongoing learning. Further informationThe gym is open 7 days a week (from 6.30am - 10pm weekdays, and 8am-7pm on weekends). We wish to appoint someone to work either part-time or full-time hours which will include a mixture of early, late and weekend shifts over a 4 week rolling rota.In addition to the basic salary, there is also the added potential for increased earnings through teaching exercise classes and Personal Training, which are paid a supplementary hourly rate.For an informal discussion about the role please contact Adam Brodie, Health & Fitness Manager (asb272@bath.ac.uk) or Jessica Winfield, Health & Fitness Instructor (jw3889@bath.ac.uk), however, please submit your application via the University website along with a copy of your up-to-date CV.We consider ourselves to be a university where difference is celebrated, respected and encouraged. Salary: £25,912 pro rata (£13.65 per hour, plus a supplementary hourly rate for additional classes) Please note the annual salary quoted is inclusive of a market supplement to ensure the annual pay rate aligns with our commitment as a voluntary living wage employer.
