Partnership for Families, Children and Adults welcomed community partners and supporters to an open house celebrating its Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program transitional housing home in Chattanooga.
More than 35 attendees toured the newly relocated home and learned more about the critical services Partnership provides to youth and young families experiencing homelessness. Guests shared overwhelmingly positive feedback throughout the event, with many noting the welcoming atmosphere, spacious accommodations, thoughtful décor, and the growing need for programs like Youth Services in the Chattanooga community.
The YHDP program serves individuals ages 18–24, including young parents and families, who are facing housing instability or homelessness.
Through transitional housing, rental assistance, supportive case management, and life skills education, the program helps young adults build stability and move toward long-term independence.
The home includes five transitional housing rooms and supports community clients who may not reside in the home but still receive case management and rental assistance support. Case managers provide life skills classes focused on financial literacy, transportation, cooking, banking, and other tools necessary for independent living.
Residents receive up to two years of case management and support but often are housed and independent within their first year.
Attendees represented a wide range of organizations and agencies, including:
• McKinney-Vento (FIT)
• La Paz Chattanooga
• Girls Inspired
• City of Chattanooga (OHSH) Office of Homeless and Supportive Housing
• Chattanooga Regional Homeless Coalition (Peer Support)
• Chattanooga Regional Homeless Coalition Director of Youth Programs
• Street Grace
• University of Tennessee at Chattanooga
• Hamilton County Juvenile Court
• Hamilton County Family Justice Center
• Brainerd High School Social Worker

• Partnership Staff
Officials said, "Partnership for Families, Children and Adults remains committed to strengthening families and empowering individuals through services that provide safety, stability, and hope throughout the Chattanooga area."
