John Torode shares update on his wife's health
John Torode has reassured fans with a fresh update on his wife Lisa Faulkner.
Earlier this month, Lisa, 54, revealed that she has undergone surgery in the early stages of breast cancer after receiving her diagnosis earlier this year.
Updating followers on Instagram, the Celebrity MasterChef winner said she had received the results of the operation. She informed followers at the time: "It's all good, they've got everything out, so it's all clear, and I just need some radiotherapy in a few weeks."
Lisa added that she was in "the very early stages of breast cancer" and had undergone "quite a big op", noting she still had "quite a bit of healing to do. But I'm good, I'm well, and feeling so much better".
The former Holby City, Spooks and Waterloo Road actress, who has since become a successful TV presenter and cook, said she was "so grateful that I went for my mammogram", encouraging fans: "Don't put them off, go, because they found this - without this mammogram, it wouldn't have been picked up.
"I want to say thank you to our wonderful NHS, and the fact that we can have these mammograms, and we can get treatment early."
John, who has been a regular on This Morning since 1996, appeared on Monday's This Morning to showcase the dishes he would be preparing.
Hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard understandably asked John how his wife Lisa was doing after she bravely shared her diagnosis earlier this month.
The Australian chef said: "She's doing really well, actually, really well, and thanks so much for asking. She thanks everybody for all their wonderful comments and their best wishes, but she's doing very well, thank you very much."
John and Lisa have been married since 2019. The couple have presented their own shows together such as John And Lisa's Weekend Kitchen and John & Lisa's Food Trip Down Under.
It comes as Lisa shared an update over the weekend, posting a sweet montage video of her dog, including clips of John, her family and friends.
Lisa penned: "A little bit of Rory Gilmore being her wonderful self ! Our little shadow and gatekeeper! Her cuddles these past few weeks have been a tonic" with a heart emoji.
