Passengers can sleep better when travelling with the £5 item

Millions of Brits are expected to go on holiday over the coming weeks as the peak travel season arrives and schools up and down the country close for six weeks. As fun and exciting as it can be to jet off abroad, staying comfortable during the flight can be tricky.

With minimal legroom and cramped seats, sleeping on a plane, whether it's a short- or long-haul flight, can be difficult for many people. However, Home Bargains is selling an affordable "soft" item that could help holiday-goers drift off and comes with its own "handy" carry bag.

Home Bargains is a popular retailer across the UK, selling a wide variety of items at affordable prices, with more than 660 stores nationwide, including travel essentials and supplies. Home Bargains originated in Liverpool. It was established in 1976 by Tom Morris, who launched his first store in the Old Swan area of the city.

Initially, the company was called "Home and Bargain". It wasn't until 1995 that the brand changed its name to "Home Bargains" and unveiled its iconic red-and-blue logo to expand nationally.

Available in stores and online, Home Bargains is selling a Travel Adjustable Travel Pillow and Carry Bag for £4.99. The "extra secure" pillow is made from memory foam and is described as "perfect for short and long haul travel".

In the product description, Home Bargains says: "Stay comfy on the go with this adjustable travel pillow made from soft memory foam, complete with a handy carry bag. Perfect for short trips or long-haul flights, it’s your simple travel essential."

Amazon is selling a similar-looking pillow, though it costs more. Shoppers can get the Ostrichpillow Go Neck Pillow for £69, with free delivery for Prime members. While Home Bargains offers one colour, the Amazon version comes in 11 shades.

According to experts, travel pillows can be useful during flights because they provide neck support and help keep your spine aligned while you sleep upright. They fill the space between your seat and your head, preventing your neck from straining or your head from falling forward, helping you avoid travel fatigue and wake up feeling refreshed.

Elsewhere at Home Bargains, shoppers can keep their suitcase contents 'neat and tidy' with a set of 'cubes' for £5. The store's Travel Lightweight Travel Cubes Three Pack, are designed to keep luggage "organised" for "hassle-free packing".

The product description reads: "Keep your luggage organised with this Simple family three-pack of lightweight travel cubes, featuring durable double zips and breathable mesh panels for easy packing on the go."
