Ruined Imperial palaceBy hhgygy(2025-11-24)The "imperial castle" in Massawa was built in 1872 on the site of a 16th-century Ottoman palace. Haile Selassie used it as his winter residence during the Ethiopian occupation. The palace was severely damaged during the war with Ethiopia in 1990 and has not been restored.
