Police are investigating a hit-and-run crash that killed a man Monday morning in the northwest Las Vegas Valley.

The crash was reported just before 12:40 a.m. at West Craig Road and North Jones Boulevard, according to the Metropolitan Police Department release.

Investigators say the victim was attempting to cross Craig outside a marked or implied crosswalk, stumbling several times and landing on the road. An unknown, dark-colored SUV eastbound on Craig struck the pedestrian and continued without stopping, rendering aid or notifying police of the crash.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. It is the 60th traffic-related fatality in Metro’s jurisdiction in 2026.
