The Noto Satoyama Pokemon With You Airport is now open in Japan until September 30, 2029. This project is from the Pokemon With You Foundation, and it’s a way to offer tourism support to areas affected by the 2024 Noto Earthquake (as an aside, The Pokémon Company had also donated 50 million yen to aid earthquake victims soon after the quake struck Japan in 2024).

This is the world’s first ever airport with the word “Pokemon” in the name, and it is a collaboration between the Pokemon With You Foundation and the Ishikawa Prefecture’s government.

The airport is truly full of Pokemon, with illustrations of them all over the exterior pillars and the interior walls. All 111 Flying Type Pokemon (excluding regional forms and Mega Evolutions) decorate the murals on the second floor, and the first floor lobby has monuments of Pikachu, Plusle, and Minun. You can also use your smartphone to watch some original short animations about Noto and the airport. For those who’d like something to remember their visit by, the airport will also sell original Pokemon-themed menu items, as well as merchandise such as keychains, luggage belts, and T-shirts.

From mid-July 2026, Pokemon buses will also take you on a tour around the Ishikawa Prefecture. You can choose between an existing route (from Wajima to Kanazawa) or a new one (route still being adjusted). This new one will focus on the Pokemon-related tourist sites around Noto.

The Noto Satoyama Pokemon With You Airport will be open in Japan until September 30, 2029. The newest mainline game in the franchise and the start of the next generation of Pokemon, Winds and Waves, will come out on the Switch 2 in 2027.
