Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar has invited Union Minister HD Kumaraswamy for a discussion on the controversial Bidadi township project. Shivakumar stated that Kumaraswamy himself initiated the project during his previous tenure as CM. This invitation comes as the JD(S) plans to challenge the land acquisition in court, citing concerns over real estate interests and the impact on farmers who have been protesting for over 470 days.
