A number of high street stores have announced they will be closing their doors

The British high street has been dealt yet another blow, with a fresh wave of store closures announced across the country. Both the Post Office and the Co-op are among the well-known names shutting up shop.
The Co-op has confirmed it will be closing one of its Glasgow branches, just weeks after its Minehead store in Somerset pulled down the shutters for good.
Announcing the closure of its Station Road branch in Bearsden, a spokesperson said: "Co-op remains committed to serving and supporting Bearsden through its Stockiemuir Avenue store. After careful consideration, however, a decision has been taken to close our Station Road store.
"Colleagues have been informed, and are being fully supported, and we would like to thank the community for its continued support for Co-op in Bearsden."
In further bad news, dozens of towns are set to lose their local Post Office, with 52 branches due to close by early October following the shutdown of 100 convenience stores run by supermarket chain Morrisons.
In a similar blow, back in June, the Post Office announced the closure of several branches tied to TG Jones store closures, reports the Express.
Meanwhile, luxury footwear and handbag retailer Russell & Bromley has shut all of its remaining stores after falling into administration with debts exceeding £59million, drawing the curtain on 146 years of trading on the British high street. All branches not included in a rescue deal with fashion giant Next have now shut for good.
The closures come following a phased wind-down of the business, with just three stores continuing to trade under the new ownership.
Administrators from Interpath Advisory have confirmed that the remaining 33 stores have permanently closed their doors, resulting in approximately 400 job losses.
A spokesperson for the administrators said: "Following the announcement regarding the sale of the Russell & Bromley brand and certain assets to Next plc, the joint administrators can confirm that a phased closure programme for the remaining Russell & Bromley stores is now complete.
"All stores that did not transfer to Next as part of that transaction closed. Regrettably, these closures mean that the majority of employees working in the non-transferring stores have been made redundant.
"The administrators and their teams are engaging closely with all affected staff and will be providing support throughout the process, including assisting individuals in submitting claims to the Redundancy Payments Service."
Elsewhere, in Liverpool, a much-loved bridal shop has announced it will be shutting its doors on July 15, drawing the curtain on three generations of family ownership. Bridesworld, based in Walton and established on County Road in 1983, will be shutting its doors for good.
A message from the retailer read: "After 44 wonderful years and three generations, we have made the incredibly difficult decision to close our doors on July 15. This has not been an easy decision.
"Over the past 44 years, we've had the privilege of helping generations of brides and families, getting to know so many wonderful people who have become friends along the way.
"We are deeply grateful for every visit, every purchase, every recommendation, and every kind word of support you've given us throughout the years. Your loyalty has meant more to us than we could ever express.
"As we close this chapter, we leave with countless treasured memories and sincere appreciation for everyone who has been part of our journey. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for allowing Bridesworld Liverpool to be part of your special moments for the past 44 years."
