There's nothing like visiting a theme park during the summer, and this is perhaps why one man decided to travel to a popular attraction and embark on a day out at Alton Towers. However, he admitted he was left taken aback by the scene he was met with when he arrived.
Kyle, known as themeparkadventure on TikTok, documented his trip to Alton Towers in a recent video, and he claimed he was met with a "horrific" scene. When he visited the theme park, which is located in Staffordshire near the village of Alton, he admitted what he saw was rather different to what he expected.
It's not the first time the theme park has been brought to people's attention either. Previously, an expert also revealed some easy ways to help people cut queues.
In the footage, Kyle wrote over a video: "My reaction to arriving at Alton Towers and seeing these queues". People were also shown an image of his phone, which revealed the queue waiting times.
While some were estimated to have a 35-minute wait, others were reported to have queue waiting times of around 120 minutes. He also shared footage of the queues, which looked super lengthy.
You could see people were waiting for some time to get on the rides and, in the comments, Kyle admitted it was "horrific" to see.

The video got a lot of people talking, as theme parks are only expected to get busier throughout the summer holidays. People had all sorts of thoughts to share on the matter.
One person said: "Today was terrible. 60 minutes for Wicker Man." To this, Kyle replied: "Eww, it’s only going to start getting worse from here as summer approaches."
Another added: "I would go home, not going to lie." A third replied: "Looks rather busy."
Meanwhile, a fourth offered some handy advice, writing: "I had gold fast track. ZERO wait."
Naturally, people should expect to queue to use rides when visiting Alton Towers. It's reported the first 60 to 90 minutes of the day tend to offer the shortest waits of the day.
Arriving early is strongly suggested as entry lines can back up. It's also said that weekdays, particularly Tuesday and Wednesday, usually witness lighter crowds.
Meanwhile, weekends and school holidays tend to have significantly longer waits. As we approach the summer holidays, this is perhaps why the attraction appears to be busier.
A spokesperson for Alton Towers Resort said: "While queues for our most popular rides can be longer during peak periods, particularly on busy summer days, we work hard to ensure guests have the best possible experience throughout their visit.
"We provide live queue time information via the Alton Towers Resort app and around the park to help guests plan their day, and offer Fastrack options for those who wish to reduce their wait on selected attractions.
"Our teams continually monitor ride operations and queue times throughout the day, making adjustments wherever possible to maximise capacity and keep guests moving. We remain committed to delivering a fantastic day out for every guest."
