Buying antique-inspired decor online can, unfortunately, go wrong quickly. The two pieces have the same blue-and-green floral pattern, with a soft painted finish that gives them more of a collected feel than a standard decorative accent. The Tall Floral Painted Ceramic Vase has a rounded body, a deep blue rim and small green border details around the neck and base. One shopper called it “absolutely gorgeous,” writing that “it looks like the florals have been water colored onto the ceramic” and has “an antique quality to it.”

That last part is the selling point. The vase fits easily into the kind of home decor searches that keep coming back around this time of year: cottage, French country, garden-inspired, botanical, vintage farmhouse and grandmillennial, but it does not look like a theme-party version of any of them. The same reviewer added that the mouth is “wide enough to fit a large bouquet of flowers,” so it can handle fresh stems instead of just sitting empty on a shelf. Target lists the vase as watertight, though it should be washed by hand. Another shopper put it more simply: “this is very, very very beautiful. love it!”

The coordinating 10-Inch Floral Painted Ceramic Bowl has a shallow footed shape with a matte finish, which gives it a more rustic, handmade-look quality. One reviewer wrote, “This bowl is so pretty! Matte finish, perfect size for decorating,” though they said they were not sure they would use it for serving because of the texture; Target recommends washing this piece by hand, too.

Shoppers are mostly treating it as a styling piece, which makes sense. One review, titled “STUNNING,” called it a “Gorgeous girl,” while another praised the “rough clay finish” for giving the dish “a rustic look.” That same shopper said the blue-green paint is “so tranquil and not splotchy,” and noted that the bowl works for fruit, potpourri and adding height to a table or shelf.

For anyone trying to make a room feel more collected without committing to a full antique hunt, these Threshold pieces are an easy Target find to try. Start with the vase, add the bowl if you want the matching moment, and add a little antique charm to your home.
