The Wolverines have landed another offensive lineman in the 2027 class, as four-star offensive lineman Lincoln Mageo announced his commitment to Michigan on Saturday. He picked the Wolverines over his two other finalists, Washington and Utah.

The 6-foot-3.5, 285-pounder hails from Oceanside, California and was offered by Michigan’s previous coaching staff last year. New offensive line coach Jim Harding picked up the recruitment for the Wolverines and instantly made Michigan a legitimate option.

Mageo made his first trip to Ann Arbor in April, spending three days on campus, and returned for his official visit the weekend of June 5. Harding also took an in-home visit with Mageo and his family shortly after a pair of his offensive linemen from Utah were selected in the first round of the NFL Draft.

“We sat around, ate dinner and just talked about his move to Michigan and how spring ball went, and he was asking what I was looking for in a program so he could make sure he had everything lined up for my OV,” Mageo told On3’s Ethan McDowell ($). “Talked about the development of Spencer (Fano) and Caleb (Lomu) from when they came in out of high school. It was cool to hear what he noticed in them and what made them stand out from the other guys.”

247Sports’ Gabe Brooks scouted Mageo earlier this month and had this to write about him:

– Densely-built high school tackle who projects as a P4-caliber interior O-lineman.
– Strong customer as a drive blocker in the run game.
– Flashes some heavy-handed pop, particularly when traveling and when helping in pass pro.
– Valuable multi-sport context includes respectable shot put numbers.
– Field demeanor reflects physical play style.
– Still developing consistent bend and body control.
– Enhancing fluidity throughout lower half will raise the ceiling on pass-pro ability.
– Projects to the P4 level as a candidate to become a run-game enforcer.

With Mageo’s commitment, Michigan now has four offensive linemen in the 2027 class, joining four-star Jakari Lipsey, and three-stars Louis Esposito and Sidney Rouleau. The Wolverines are up to 22 total commitments in this recruiting cycle.
