World Cup fans were causing traffic delays in Center City on Sunday night as they marched down the Ben Franklin Parkway from the Art Museum steps to City Hall.
Philadelphia OEM posted to social media said that there were rolling road closures along the Ben Franklin Parkway due to “World Cup fan activity.”
“The group is traveling from the Art Museum towards City Hall. Use caution traveling and follow police direction,” the post read in part at the time.
Fans in Philly for the France versus Iraq World Cup match at the Linc on Monday had been gathering at the Art Museum, or Rocky, Steps throughout the day Sunday.
NBC10 had a camera on the steps as the crowd formed earlier in the day.
NBC10 was also at the scene at around 11 p.m. to find that the crowd had largely dispersed, with some fans still hanging out in LOVE Park.
