It comes after the brand closed all its high street stores last year
A major beauty retailer is set to return to UK high streets after closing all its outlets last year. Bodycare has revealed it will be opening new stores in 17 stores across the UK, with plans to open 15 in the space of one year. This follows on from the brand shutting all its 147 stores last year.
The beauty chain collapsed into administration in September last year and closed all its stores, including multiple outlets across Greater Manchester.

However, in April this year, the retailer announced it would return to the high street. It comes after the business was acquired from administration by an investment group led by former Body Shop and Molton Brown CEO Charles Denton, the Mirror reports.
On its website, Bodycare has now revealed the 17 locations where it will open new stores. The new sites will include content creator studios, where new products will be showcased, alongside demonstration zones and live broadcast studios.
The new stores will mainly open across locations in the north of England, including one new site in Bury, in Greater Manchester.
The first store to reopen is the brand's Sheffield branch in The Moor Shopping Centre, which is set to welcome customers back this month. No exact reopening date has been announced yet, but a message on the front of the store reads: "Sheffield, we’re so back."
A post made on The Moor Sheffield's Facebook page in June reads: "Bodycare, the value health and beauty retailer, is making its return to the high street – and we’re thrilled that The Moor Sheffield will be the first out of six new stores to open.
"Shoppers can look forward to a brand-new “Bodycare Studio” format, including in-store demonstration zones, feature screens, live broadcast studios and creator spaces as part of a wider digital-first strategy. An official opening date is coming soon – stay tuned for further details as we look forward to welcoming customers back!"
The company, which was initially founded on a market stall in Lancashire in 1970, has hinted there will be more stores on the way, in addition to the announced 17 openings. No other locations have been confirmed yet but on its website, it states: "We’re just getting started."
