Taylor Swift's ex-boyfriend Joe Jonas has made rare comments about the pop star, 17 years after they split.

Speaking to Esquire alongside his Jonas Brothers bandmates, siblings Kevin and Nick, the 36-year-old musician was asked about the 35-year-old singer. 

Joe — who was previously married to Taylor's friend Sophie Turner — was asked if he likes the former's latest album, The Life of a Showgirl.

'I’ve heard some of it. I think she’s obviously the biggest artist out there, and I think it’s good. Everybody’s got an opinion about it, but from what I’ve heard, there are some catchy melodies,' he said.

It comes after in 2008 Taylor aired out her grievances over her breakup with Joe in an Ellen DeGeneres interview.

She famously said she wasn't 'going to remember the boy who broke up with me over the phone in 27 seconds when I was 18.'

Joe was also asked if he's currently dating, just over a year after his divorce from Sophie was finalized.

'Five shows in a row doesn’t make it easy to meet someone for coffee,' he replied. 

The father-of-two also noted that he's not on dating apps before recognizing, 'I guess Instagram and TikTok are apps, and I’ve met people that way.'

For her part, Taylor is now engaged to 36-year-old Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

Earlier this year Joe left a cryptic response to lyrics from Taylor's song Mr. Perfectly Fine, which is speculated to be about their split.

Joe uploaded a TikTok video in April that showed him strolling through the streets of London while sporting a gray suit.

A fan wrote a comment quoting the 2021 Taylor lyrics, 'So dignified in his well pressed suit.' The line belongs to the Vault edition of her Fearless (Taylor's Version) album.

Joe responded plainly, 'Thanks for noticing,' leaving fans wondering if he understood the reference or not.

Taylor and Travis announced their engagement in a joint social media post shared on August 26.

In September his friend Andrew Santino revealed the proposal had been months in the making.

The 41-year-old comedian shared on an episode of Pardon My Take podcast that the Kansas City Chiefs star first mentioned his engagement plans earlier this year.

He shared, 'We had golf together in like April or May, and yeah, he said he was doing it. But he didn't say when.'

The power couple kept their big news under wraps for weeks, with Travis getting down on one knee after carefully orchestrating the details. 

He reserved the day of Taylor's guest appearance on his New Heights podcast as the date of the romantic gesture.

As Travis kept his now-wife-to-be busy with filming, a team descended on his home garden to stage the setting for his proposal, according to Page Six.
