Minnesota Governor Tim Walz defended his state during a tense House Oversight and Government Reform Committee hearing on alleged fraud and misuse of federal funds. Walz appeared alongside Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison and Pastor Mariah Tollgaard. Republican lawmakers pressed Walz and Ellison on large fraud cases, including the pandemic-era Feeding Our Future scandal, where federal prosecutors allege roughly $250 million in food-aid funds were stolen by dozens of defendants.
