The 1st Annual Corvette for Kids Car Show is set for Aug. 8 at Camp Jordan Park in East Ridge from 8:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.  

"All profits from the show will benefit and serve the neediest children in our community," organizers said. "The East Ridge Needy Child Fund and The East Ridge Optimist Club are co-sponsoring this event.  Every Dollar raised makes a difference for local kids."

Cost for entry of a Corvette is $75; early bird or $85 at the door.
 
There is a $500 cash grand prize, a raffle/50/50 drawing, winner's circle & VIP reception.
