The AIM Center announces that tickets are now on sale for the inaugural Mental Health Hero Awards. The event honors individuals and organizations "making a meaningful difference in mental health recovery, advocacy and community support while celebrating those helping create a more inclusive, recovery-focused community."

Hosted by AIM Center, the Mental Health Hero Awards will bring the community together for an evening of celebration, storytelling and recognition on Thursday, Oct. 29, at The Westin Chattanooga.

The event will also raise support for AIM Center's mission of "creating hope, community and social change for adults living with Serious Mental Illness through the internationally recognized Clubhouse Model."

"This event is about recognizing the people who are helping make our community a place where recovery is possible," said Savannah Buzbee, marketing manager of AIM Center. "Every day, there are individuals and organizations working to reduce stigma, increase access to support and create opportunities for people living with mental illness. We are honored to celebrate those efforts while also raising awareness and support for the life-changing work happening at AIM Center."

Community members are encouraged to purchase tickets beginning today and join AIM Center for this inaugural event. Tickets are $125 per person or $1,750 per table.  

"Guests will enjoy an inspiring evening dedicated to honoring Mental Health Heroes whose compassion, leadership and advocacy are helping create a stronger, more inclusive community," officials said. "The evening will feature hors d'oeuvres, cocktails, dinner, live entertainment, a large silent auction with more than 100 items, an exciting after party and so much more."

In addition to ticket sales opening today, Mental Health Hero Award nominations remain open through July 15. Community members are encouraged to nominate individuals, organizations, businesses and advocates who have made a meaningful difference in advancing mental health awareness, recovery and hope throughout the Chattanooga area.

Businesses and community partners also have an opportunity to make an impact by becoming event sponsors. 

"Sponsorships not only support the Mental Health Hero Awards but also help sustain AIM Center's year-round programs that empower adults living with Serious Mental Illness through meaningful work, supportive relationships, housing resources, employment opportunities and community connection," officials said. "As AIM Center's newest signature fundraising event, the Mental Health Hero Awards reflects the organization's belief that recovery happens in community and that those who champion mental health deserve to be recognized and celebrated."
