Paulina’s full name is Paulina Mary Jean Gretzky, and her names are all family names. The first two names are inspired by her dad, Wayne’s paternal grandmother, Pauline Mary, and her second middle name, Jean, comes from her mom, Janet’s mother.

When her family lived in New York City, Paulina was accepted into the American School of Ballet. However, instead, she attended the Nightingale-Bamford School, in New York City, which is considered one of the best all-female prep schools in the country. 

Did you know that Paulina got to meet Queen Elizabeth II?! It’s true, she met her when she was a teenager in 2002, specifically when her dad Wayne escorted the Queen to center ice to drop the puck at a pre-season NHL game in Vancouver.

Paulian is also the goddaughter of Mark Messier, a former ice hockey centre and good pal to her dad Wayne. 

As of 2024, Paulina has four acting credits: she was in a 2000 short called In God We Trust, played Gorgeous Blonde Senior in 2009’s Fame, The Deputy in Guns, Girls, and Gambling, and Bikini Girl Daisy in Grown Ups 2.

Paulina has sang live a few times in her life, but the most popular instance of her musical talents was when she released her original song “Collecting Dust,” which was on MTV’s Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County. 

Paulina has never spoken about politics openly. However, back in 2018, she made headlines for an Instagram post that many believed to be a subtle show of support for former US President and President-elect Donald Trump. Back in June 11, 2018, Gretzky shared a photo of her by a Trump helicopter saying, “HELL🚁 HAMPTONS @kmelnichenko.”

Paulina is most well-known as a model. She’s modeled for quite a few magazines like Golf Digest, King Magazine, and more. However, she made her modeling debut in 2005 when she was featured on the cover of Flare for their August issue.

You probably already know this, but Paulian often posts bikini photos, and has become quite known for it. No matter the setting, no matter the style, Paulian knows how to rock, and make headlines, for her bikini pics. 

Paulina is also no stranger to changing up her hair. Over the years, we’ve seen her go from bleach blonde to dark brunette, and long-haired siren to a cutie with a bob haircut. She knows how to change things up. 

While Paulian has never professionally done any sports, she did describe herself as a tomboy. In a previous interview with Golf Digest, she did say, “The truth is, I was a total tomboy and loved sports. Dad always says I was his best athlete.”

Back in Sept 2018, per Nicki Swift, Paulina Gretzky deleted a slew of posts from her Instagram account, and basically wiped it clean. Many assumed it was linked to a rumor that Dustin Johnson was having an affair with Yassie Safai, but neither ever publicly talked about it. However, it all seems good today. 

In a previous interview with Golf Digest, Paulina talked about her fitness regime, and how much she loves working out. 

“I used to run every day, and I absolutely loved it. It was like meditation for me. I also loved kickboxing. What really kept me in great shape was dancing,” she said. “Lately, I’ve been constantly on the go, so I don’t get to run much anymore. Now I’m doing workout videos every day. If you don’t want to go to the gym and would rather work out alone, all you have to do is find a workout on YouTube.”

In an interview with KIND Magazine, she talked about how pregnancy was tough on her, especially when accepting the changes in her postpartum body. 

“Pregnancy was tough and I’m not going to lie, adjusting to my new body, it took a toll,” she told KIND, “but then I realised I had to pull myself out of this for my children. But then I realised again, that that wasn’t quite right either—I had to pull myself out of it for my relationship with Dustin. I had to pull myself out of it for me.”

Paulina previously mentioned, via the New York Post, that she’s legally blind. “So, I’m not a candidate for Lasik, unfortunately,” she revealed. “One out of ten blinks I can see; it’s very, very frustrating.” 

Paulian has a tattoo on her left butt cheek of a script saying. It’s unclear what it says, but it has a tattoo of the number “99” on her left hip, subtly honoring her father’s jersey number.
