Comedian Jim Breuer has declared he will never fly American Airlines again after he and his wife were bumped down from first class and into economy moments before boarding.
In a scathing public takedown, the 58-year-old former Saturday Night Live standup said he felt 'violated and lied to' after an airline crew member alleged first-class tickets for his flight had been oversold.
Speaking in a video uploaded to Facebook, titled 'Never Flying American Airlines Again,' Breuer explained he had splurged on airfare for him and his wife Dee so they could be comfortable on their red-eye flight from Honolulu, Hawaii, to Phoenix, Arizona.
To their outrage, however, both of their seats were reassigned at the last moment, and they were instead handed economy fares.
As an apology for the inconvenience, Breuer claimed he was offered a $500 voucher and $400 refund.
Speaking in the video, Breuer said: 'This is foul because the way I see it, you stole from me. You stole my ticket, you stole my money.'
'An American Airlines employee stole from me,' he continued.
'So, this shows me you can book any ticket on American Airlines and they have no problem putting one of their employees in your seat and then lie to your face and say it was overbooked and offer absolutely nothing.'

The comedian had bought two first-class tickets but was downgraded to economy
Breuer believes that his seats were 'stolen' by pilots and said the situation was no different to someone stealing his wallet.
He went on to claim that he has not heard from American Airlines over the phone despite asking them to call him multiple times.
'I don't need an AI apology,' he said. 'I need a human being to call me and go "hey man, how can we make this up to you."'
Breuer added that two one-way first-class tickets to anywhere in the country would be compensation enough.
Daily Mail has contacted American Airlines for comment.
Viewers were stunned by Breuer's claims and blasted the airline in the comments.
'I hope this clip gets to someone high up in American Airlines, unfortunately they probably don't care,' one said. 'If you do this bit on tour and thousands of people see it over 20 shows it might hurt them a little.'
Another wrote: 'That is so wrong. I do not like American Airlines at all!'

'I will not be booking with them and any family members will probably not,' a third added.
Under the 2023 Allied Pilots Association contract, American Airlines gives deadheading pilots top priority for first-class upgrades, often placing them ahead of top-tier AAdvantage elite members.
Within 24 hours of departure, deadheading pilots are placed at the top of the upgrade list to ensure they are rested for operating subsequent flights.
A deadheading pilot or flight attendant is one repositioning as part of an on-duty assignment. This is not the same as commuting to work or traveling for personal reasons.
