Tennis icon and businesswoman Venus Williams is collaborating with the digital coaching platform EZRA to empower the next generation of professionals as they embark on their career journeys.
EZRA, a worldwide leader in coaching, has announced that it will offer 1,000 early-career professionals free access to EZRA Coach, an AI-driven digital coaching platform that provides tailored one-on-one career guidance.
The initiative, known as The Gift of Coaching, aims to broaden access to professional development tools that have historically been reserved for senior executives and employees in large corporations.
Williams, a seven-time Grand Slam champion, said she had personal experience with the transformational power of effective guidance.

“You don’t realize, when you have a really great coach, how much that can change your life and your world,” Williams stated in a press release. “It’s similar to having a great teacher–the kind of teacher who changes your life, shifts your perspective, and puts you on a path toward something you never dreamed you’d do. These are the people who really need that support most because they’re just starting out. That’s why I’m so proud to partner with EZRA on this initiative.”
In addition to improving interpersonal communication and strategic goal-setting, this partnership will provide beneficiaries with customized mentorship aimed at accelerating professional growth, developing leadership skills, and boosting self-assurance.
The initiative comes at a crucial time because, according to recent data, 94% of emerging talent currently rely on social media for career guidance, a practice that is often cited as harmful to their long-term employment success.
EZRA CEO and founder Nick Goldberg praised Williams as the ideal role model for young employees, stating, “Venus has spent her career redefining what leadership looks like, from winning on the court to building businesses and advocating for equal opportunity.
“She represents confidence, resilience, and the courage to break barriers—qualities coaching helps unlock in leaders everywhere.”
According to the organization, its platform is designed to supplement rather than replace human coaching, providing personalized development strategies, accountability, and practical feedback on a large scale, even as AI is increasingly viewed as a means of improving workplace efficiency.

Meanwhile, apart from her recent collaboration, Venus is also gearing up to return to the tennis field with her sister Serena Williams.
Venus’ reunion with Serena will be their first match together since the 2022 U.S. Open, and it is Venus who has had more competitive practice this season. She played doubles with Alexandra Eala at the Bad Homburg Open, as they won on debut before exiting at the quarter-finals.
She recently told Olympics.com, “Everyone gets [butterflies]. It’s a part of being human, and that’s what makes sport so exciting: being able to conquer your own humanity to get to the next level. That’s why we all watch sport, and that’s why we sometimes win or lose.”
The 46-year-old added, “Clearly [our legacy is] not set yet, right? There’s still time. I don’t think about that too often, but there’s definitely a lot of great tennis on the court. Leaving it at that is OK.”
The five-time Olympic medalist continued: “I understand when it’s time to tell my story and when it’s time for someone else to tell their story. The important part in life is to know when to be quiet. Now it’s time to speak, and I would like to say officially, I’m excited we’re playing together, and I can’t wait till we hit the courts.”
