Celtic's chances of securing a spot in the Europa League knockouts suffered a heavy blow after falling to a hapless defeat to Roma in Glasgow.
It was a second loss in succession for new boss Wilfried Nancy, who must now pick his players up ahead of Sunday's League Cup final against St Mirren at Hampden.
His side were taken apart by the Italians on Thursday night, conceding three in the first half without reply.
A Liam Scales own goal in the opening minutes put the hosts on the back foot, before Irishman Evan Ferguson notched a fine double against the side he grew up supporting.
Arne Engels had the chance to reduce the deficit in first-half stoppage time from the penalty spot, but his effort cannoned back off the post, with substitute Kelechi Iheanacho then seeing s strike ruled out for offside in the second period.
Here's how Nancy and his men rated at Celtic Park...

Wilfried Nancy has suffered back-to-back defeats since taking charge at Celtic
Evan Ferguson was clinical in front of goal, scoring twice in the first half for the visitors
CELTIC (3-4-2-1)
KASPER SCHMEICHEL - 4: Can’t be blamed for the goals and did make good saves from Soule and Bailey, but his kicking could be better.
AUSTON TRUSTY - 3: Perhaps not as culpable as Scales and Tierney, but hard to give pass marks when defence is as poor as this.
LIAM SCALES - 3: Scored an OG, wasn’t great at Roma’s second and was outstripped by Ferguson at their third. A rough night.
KIERAN TIERNEY - 3: Outmuscled by Mancini at the opener and exposed at second. A bad night, made worse by being taken off at half-time.
YANG HYUN-JUN - 3: Tried his best, but it is just remarkable he is still playing in European games of this magnitude for Celtic.
CALLUM MCGREGOR - 3: Just part of a Celtic midfield posted missing in the first half and has to take his share of the blame for that.
ARNE ENGELS - 3: Missed a spot-kick at the end of the first half after winning it, but did get involved a little more in the second 45.
SEBASTIAN TOUNEKTI - 3: Poor pressing at Roma’s second and, although more involved as game went on, never created anything significant.
It was a tough night at the office for Celtic, who must pick themselves up for Sunday's cup final
REO HATATE - 3: Had his pocket picked before Ferguson hit a post and missed a great 38th-minute chance. Did better in the second half.
BENJAMIN NYGREN - 2: Gave the ball away on so many occasions during the first half. Replaced by Bernardo at the break.
DAIZEN MAEDA - 2: Got zero service and deserves some sympathy, but just made no impression at all. Hooked for Iheanacho at half-time.
SUBSTITUTES: Donovan (Tierney 46), Iheanacho (Maeda 46), Bernardo (Nygren 46), Ralston (Yang 62), Balikwisha (Hatate 77).
WILFRIED NANCY - 2: He has his system, but it really doesn’t appear to suit these players. What a nightmare of a start to his Celtic career.
AS ROMA (3-4-2-1): Svilar; Mancini, Ndicka, Hermoso (Ziolkowski 80); Celik, Soule n (Dybala 69), El Aynaoui, Rensch; Pisilli (Angelino 84), El Shaarawy (Bailey 69); Ferguson (Pellegrini 69).
