A neighborhood restaurant and bar known for its wood-fired pizza is shutting down.
According to multiple sources, Woody’s Grill & Tap in the Fenway section of Boston is closing after business hours today, with a boston.com article confirming that the Hemenway Street spot is indeed shutting down. Woody’s, which first opened in the late 1990s, has been a favorite among locals and college students alike over the years, offering pizza, wings, tenders, burgers, steak tips, fish and chips, bolognese, and more.
