Opera Translation Tool often doesn't work

I just started using Opera. Love it, but it has one serious drawback: the translation is very archaic and often doesn't work. Will this ever be fixed?
I live in Japan, and when it comes to translation, I have to use Firefox or Chrome. Opera is just unusable. Two major issues.
Click on translate and it most often never translate.
Have to click extra times to get translation.
(Firefox, Chrome, one time click)
