Re: Creating topography/terrain in civil 3D from Google earth data

Hi,  
Unfortunately, Google Earth giving up only information about area and there are no way to export from it any terrain data. I advice you try Autodesk InfraWorks to download needing area with terraria and roads to Civil 3D (Infraworks create model from Open Source Data - STRM (terrain), OSM (Open Street Maps)) and combine it to one model).
Of course - you can use other software such as Global Mapper (in my opinion, it's best decision for download terrain data), for download flat data (OSM) you can f.e. that resource. For download aerospace images you can use f.e. SAS.Planet (and in Civil 3D use command MAPCONNECT to insert Map data to drawing)
