Jamie Laing has made a surprising confession about his wife Sophie Habboo's house rules as they prepare to welcome their first child.

The Made In Chelsea star, 36, and his wife Sophie, 31, revealed they are expecting back in June. 

Since then, the couple have been open about their journey to becoming parents for the first time.

Now, Jamie has shared one strict rule Sophie has implemented as they get their new home ready for the arrival of their baby.

Speaking on his BBC Radio 1 show on Wednesday, he said: 'I tell you one thing that is actually quite weird, we just moved into a new house, very exciting, and my wife, who is pregnant, has this new rule in the house.

'I tell you what, I will vent on the radio. I hate it. She is not going to be listening. 

'I really don't like it and I pretend at home that I like it but I don't.'

Revealing what has been grating him, Jamie shared: 'The rule is this, I have outdoor clothes and indoor clothes. 

'So when I go out the house, I have to wear my outdoor clothes and when I come back in the house, I have to change into my indoor clothes so I don't make anything messy.

'One time she caught me like a rat running upstairs in my outside clothes.' 

His radio co-star, Katie Thistleton, questioned him about how the logistics would work as he explained: 'I come in and I get naked.'

Katie tried to reason with Jamie, as she quipped: 'Let's blame the hormones.' 

However, Jamie admitted he felt he might have gone a step too far with his confession and worried that Sophie would find out. 

'I am scared if she is listening. I just want everyone to know I love, love wearing indoor clothes,' he joked.

Meanwhile, Sophie previously revealed on her and Jamie's newly named podcast NearlyParents, that she has struggled with some aspects of her pregnancy.

She confessed that when her second trimester hit, she felt like she was 'dying' and was dealing with a lot of hormones that made her frequently feel irritated.

'This girl has gone from a bit of a b***h to don't come near me,' she quipped.

'Up until week eight, I was smooth sailing. No good aversions, no sickness, so much energy, I was like what is every talking about this is unbelievable.

'Week eight hit and everyone's starting to grate to me a bit. Like that man sat next to me on the plane breathing, like is it illegal if I punch him in the face?'
