The divorce filing comes after the former NFL star’s arrest for domestic violence battery.
The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star submitted the filing in Los Angeles on Monday, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason behind the dissolution of their marriage, Us Weekly reported.
Marcellus, 51, and Annemarie, 42, married in June 2014 and share three children — son Marcellus Jr., 10, and daughters Ariya, 7, and six-year-old Alivia.
The sportscaster also has another child, daughter Morocca, from a previous relationship.
Annemarie is requesting legal and physical custody of their kids, and no visitation at this time.
She is also asking for spousal support and that Marcellus cover her attorneys’ fees.
Annemarie also filed a request for a domestic violence restraining order against her ex, asking that their children be protected as well, noting how he has “has subjected me to a continuing and escalating pattern of physical violence, sexual abuse, verbal and emotional abuse, financial control, and intimidation,” per People.

“Marcellus subjects me to constant criticism, cruel and sarcastic remarks, and intimidation,” Annemarie alleged. “His verbal and emotional abuse is constant, and his physical abuse occurs approximately once a month, and at times more frequently. I am afraid of Marcellus, and I fear for my own safety and for the safety of our children.”
She recounted the “most recent incident of abuse,” which allegedly took place on July 3 and 4 during a family trip to Orlando for their son’s basketball tournament.
Annemarie claimed Marcellus “used one finger to sternly and intentionally poke her in the cheek” in front of one of their daughters the morning before his alleged threat.
“He told me that I cause him to treat me badly and that I bring it on myself.”
Annemarie also told police that Marcellus claimed “he was going to kill her” after he had “put his hands on her,” according to her witness statement, per Us.
She told officers that Marcellus had an “unreported history of violence” toward her and she planned to divorce him when they got home to California.

Marcellus denied the claims, but police determined there was enough evidence to establish probable cause and arrest him for alleged domestic violence battery.
He was booked at the Orange County Jail on July 4 on a domestic battery charge, according to Us.
He was being held without bond, according to custody records.
A no-contact order was issued against Marcellus on Sunday, barring him from contacting Annemarie. He was also ordered to stay at least 500 yards away from her, their home and her place of employment.
Annemarie was a full-time cast member of Real Housewives for only one season — the show’s 13th, which aired from 2023-2024.
She works as a nurse anesthetist in Beverly Hills.
Annemarie’s divorce filing, restraining order request and abuse allegations come after several women claimed Marcellus had raped them.
In April of this year, four women, including a former ESPN employee, accused him of sexual assault, Rolling Stone reported.

The following month, Wiley denied the allegations on an episode of his podcast, saying, “They are attempting to leverage lies for personal gain, as they say, assassination by accusation, that’s their goal. They trying by lying.”
He added: “I’m going to continue to challenge all these false accusations.”
Wiley also faces two other rape allegations from when he was a student and star football player at Columbia University in 1994, according to a 2023 lawsuit, People.
After that first suit was filed, Wiley reportedly called the claims “BS” on his YouTube show.
Wiley spent nearly a decade in the NFL after being selected by the Buffalo Bills in the second round of the 1997 NFL Draft.
The defensive end also played for the San Diego Chargers, Dallas Cowboys, and Jacksonville Jaguars, earning a Pro Bowl selection in 2001 after recording a career-high 13 sacks with the Chargers.
