"Du Bist Gut Genug!" This meme originates from the music video for the German song "Gut Genug" by Blumengarten, Kitschkrieg and rapper Shirin David. But even with all those people involved, all anyone could really focus on was how angelic Rayan of Blumengarten's voice is as he sings, "Du bist gut genug."
The song was released at the end of May 2026 and exploded throughout June on sites like Instagram Reels and TikTok. It was turned into a meme thanks to Rayan, one half of the duo Blumengarten, who is heard throughout the song singing in a beautiful falsetto, "Du bist gut genug," which means, "You are good enough."
People decided to make this song go viral as a meme by pairing Rayan's voice with clips of Cleveland Jr. from The Cleveland Show singing. Others went to YouTube and made cuts of the song that get rid of everyone but Rayan, seeing his part as the only necessary portion of the song.
From there, the song continued to blow up through remixes, edits, brainrot memes and more, becoming the meme song of the summer.

Coming in second with over 13 percent of the total votes is the "Kane Parsons 'He Is 20 Years Old'" meme, an absurd reaction to the constant reminders from the media that Backrooms director Kane Parsons is, indeed, only 20 years old.
The horror movie Backrooms, based on the creepypasta of the same name, is one of the most talked-about and successful movies of the year. But did you know that the director, Kane Parsons, was only 20 years old when he directed it, making him A24's youngest director?
The media really wanted you to know this and wouldn't stop reporting on it, leading to a series of reactionary memes that use the phrase "he is 20 years old" as a punchline.
These memes, which mostly blew up on Twitter, have users edit a headshot of Parsons against a Backrooms-yellow backdrop in bizarre ways and then attach them to even more bizarre captions, often turning Parsons into some sort of 20-year-old horror.
Parsons is now 21 as of mid-June, so what better way to usher him into his 21st year than a silver medal in the Meme of the Month competition?

Drooling Cat / Crowd of Drooling Cats
With about 6 percent of the votes, the "Drooling Cat" memes, a series of low-res reaction images of cats drooling, land in third place.
These drooling cat memes have been slowly clawing their way to relevancy since February, but they truly had their moment to shine in June. Mostly, they're used to convey a blank, dumbfounded stare, like the face you might make when a helicopter flies by in the sky, or when the cheddar biscuits come out at Red Lobster.
People fell in love with these drooling cats and decided that one or two just wasn't enough. Soon, people were editing together new drooling cat images that turned a handful of cats into a crowd of cats.
Beyond reaction images, the memes also became the subject of redraws and edits that change up their looks in fun ways, depicting them as everything from rolls of sushi to aliens on the moon.

Jax, Look, I Know We Don't Get Along, But…
Tied for fourth place and also achieving 6 percent of the votes is the "Jax, Look" meme, a format that comes from the last episode of The Amazing Digital Circus that acts as a sort of goodbye to the series.
The meme is based on a scene from the episode where the clown Kaufmo tells Jax that he might know a way out of the Digital Circus, while acknowledging that he and Jax don't really get along.
This scene was turned into a phrasal template and exploitable meme format, where Kaufmo is edited in fun ways to represent a new character sharing some often not-so-crucial information.
This format was popular on X and Bluesky, and beyond inspiring image macro-style edits, it also inspired elaborate redraws that replace Kaufmo with people like the Angry Video Game Nerd and Natsuki from DDLC.
It proved to be a very malleable and very popular meme in June, earning it a spot in the top five despite its seemingly niche appeal.

Your Bra Strap Is Showing
Finally, coming in at fifth with about 5.7 percent of the votes is the "Your Bra Strap Is Showing" meme, a series of redraws based on a comic where a woman in an off-the-shoulder shirt reacts in an interesting way when someone tells her that her bra strap is showing.
This meme blew up in early June almost immediately after it was posted on X. It shows a woman's cheeky response to being told that her bra strap is showing, when she clearly knew and intended to show her bra strap.
Instead of making a snarky remark or telling the person she knows, the person in the comic instead lifts her whole shirt to show off her entire bra.
People liked the idea and began redrawing the comic with their favorite characters and original characters, making for a slightly spicy and ultimately far-reaching trend that took over Twitter feeds over the course of the month.

And now for some of the memes that didn't quite make the top five.
Rounding out the top 10, we had Larptubers the Tungsten Cube memes, "Birds for Some Reason," the "Fat Little Chud song" and the "My Mayor Muslim" Knicks chant.
A little further down was "Robin Brushing His Teeth" in eleventh, followed by "Fairs," "I Am An Architect," "YBG Wallace" and "Nikki Frowning."
