Strictly Come Dancing's Nadiya Bychkova was consoled by her close pal Dan Walker on Wednesday following the news that she was left without a celebrity partner for this year's series.

The Ukrainian beauty, 34, was reportedly left 'fuming' and 'seething' after being snubbed by BBC bosses as she goes without a famous partner for the very first time.

However, Nadiya appeared to be in better spirits as she shared a giggle with Dan - her former Strictly partner - during the Pro-Am prior to the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth Golf Club.

The dancer beamed and clapped alongside the former BBC Breakfast host, 46, as they took in a game at the club in Virginia Water, Surrey. 

Meanwhile, Nadiya's boyfriend Kai Widdrington, 28, looked in a great mood as he enjoyed a catch-up with Strictly pals Neil Jones and Helen Skelton.

Dressed in a white mini skirt and top teamed with a pastel cardigan, Nadiya cut a stylish figure as she she swapped the dance floor for the golf course during her downtime.

The professional added white trainers and a small box handbag, while her blonde locks were worn in soft waves.

She appeared relaxed as she hung out with Dan at the club, who was dressed in a pink polo shirt and white trousers.

Dan recently voiced his support for his former dance partner Nadiya after she was left without a celebrity partner for the first time since she joined the show back in 2017. 

The TV star sung her praises in the wake of the snub and said he was 'gutted' she wasn't competing this year, naming her 'the best teacher'.

The television presenter was partnered with Nadiya for the nineteenth series of the show and they reached Week 11, coming fifth.

'I’m sure she’s still looking forward to being part of the biggest show on TV but it feels a bit like putting Messi on the bench for the World Cup final!'

Dan gushed: 'She is so talented, the best teacher anyone could hope for, a top class lobster & she’s the Yorkshire Barmaid!'

He added that he was supporting 'the A Team' this series, rooting for Angela Scanlon, Angela Rippon, Amanda Abbington, Adam Thomas or Annabel Croft to win. 

Elsewhere, her beau and fellow Strictly pro Kai was having a great time as he hung out with dancer Neil and Countryfile's Helen, whom he partnered with on the Strictly tour. 

Kai looked effortlessly cool in a crisp white T-shirt, black jeans and sunglasses as he strolled down the street with his pals in Manchester before heading for a bite to eat.

The group were also joined by Gethin Jones, who is currently presenting BBC Morning Live with Helen.

It comes after Nadiya hauled BBC bosses into a meeting after learning she hadn't been given a celebrity partner for this year's series.

She was thought to be one of the first professionals that chiefs would pair for a main role in the competition, so she was left cross and bereft when she realised she wasn't.

She wanted to know why she didn't have a partner and held a series of discussions with the show's most senior staff.

Fans have been left furious at the BBC's decision to not give her one of their 15 celebrities to dance with, but BBC bosses have hit back saying that there are many factors which determine whether a pro dancer is chosen to be given a celebrity partner or not.

Sources at the corporation say that when the stars and pros met, there was no chemistry between Ms Bychkova and the male contestants.

One told the Mail: 'Nadiya was very surprised when she learned she would merely be part of he wider dance troupe. She felt like she had done well since she joined the show so it was a shock.

'She wanted answers so she held several meetings with the bosses so she could get some answers. She is accepting it now.'

Insiders at the BBC insisted that there are 'various factors' which determine who gets a partner, they include height and how many years they have been working on Strictly.

Bosses are also furious with Mr Walker, the BBC's former Breakfast and Football Focus host, for wading into the row.
