James Martin cut a suave figure as he displayed his noticeably trimmer frame on the TRIC Awards red carpet alongside his fiancée, Kim Johnson. 

The chef, 53, has lost three stone after making 'simple' changes to his diet by eating fish twice a day and drinking more water. 

James wore a grey suit with an unbuttoned white shirt, while Kim, 39, looked glamorous in a blue minidress. 

Hosted by TRIC president Dan Walker, the event celebrates the biggest names in television, radio and online content. 

Categories for the award ceremony include soap of the year, best radio talk show, sports presenter and podcast.  

It was a rare red carpet appearance for the couple and comes after Kim seemingly confirmed her engagement to the TV chef, following reports he proposed over Christmas. 

According to The Sun, Kim took to Instagram with a snap of one of James's dishes alongside the caption: 'So proud of my fiancé'. 

The chef was said to have popped the question in January before gifting his bride-to-be a £150,000 Land Rover, which was said to have been an engagement present. 

The proposal marks a sharp U-turn for James, after he previously insisted he had no desire to ever tie the knot. 

Speaking to the Sunday People in 2019, he said: 'Marriage doesn’t interest me in the slightest, mainly because I’ve catered for so many weddings, really.

'I admire people who do it, that’s fine, but I’m quite happy. I don’t need to spend 60 grand on a day, no, I’m more than happy thanks.'

James and Kim's romance was first revealed when they were spotted shopping for jewellery at Tiffany's in Mayfair back in April 2024, before she moved into his country home in Hampshire.

James's engagement to Kim comes exactly two years after James's split from long-term girlfriend Louise Davies after 12 years together.

The chef and the TV producer first began dating in 2011 after they met on the set of Celebrity Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? and lived together at his Hampshire pad.

In December 2023, a spokesperson for James confirmed that he and Louise had parted ways, but that they remain good friends.

 Kim was previously married to businessman Arun Nayar, 61, after striking up a romance in 2011, following his divorce from Elizabeth Hurley after four years of marriage.

After five years of dating, Arun and Kim tied the knot in July 2016, but their marriage was short-lived, and they divorced the following year. 

James previously explained how his weight loss is mostly down to eating fish twice a day and drinking a lot of water, as he discussed the 'game-changing' regime.

The chef's weight has fluctuated over the years. He lost 4st for Strictly Come Dancing in 2005. In 2015 he claimed the cameras added on weight, revealing how fans had said he 'doesn't look as fat' in real life. 

He told Birmingham Live: 'Losing weight is a balance of everything, it's getting off your a**e and doing more and not eating less, but eating a variety of different things. Water is the key.'
