Sometimes they are from one of the big-two retailers in NYC/NJ, other times from Canadian retailers but they ship with no issues / duties / etc., and the warranty applies. Assuming you're in the US, refurbished from Canon USA is a great option as well (a very good price on the 24-70/2.8 right now, but that's not always the case (for example, the RF 200-800 is cheaper via street price than Canon USA refurbished).
