OSF Flavors, which specializes in custom food and beverage flavors based on natural and organic ingredients, is launching two new flavors to leverage the growing “swicy” trend.
“Swicy” (sweet and spicy) describes flavors that balance sweetness with heat, creating a taste experience that starts with sweetness and is followed by a pleasant spicy kick, OSF says. The trend has reportedly become increasingly popular in foods and beverages, delivering contrast, excitement, and a longer-lasting flavor experience.
Swicy Soy BBQ is a fusion of sweet Asian soy sauce and chili heat. Rich smoky and grilled notes create a satisfying flavor experience, OSF adds. Caramelized Sweet Corn & Chili is golden corn reportedly elevated with caramelized sweetness, warm paprika notes, and a subtle spicy finish.
The flavors have application to a broad range of product categories, including, but not limited to chips and snacks, sauces and condiments, and marinades.
