EastEnders fans have 'worked out' what happens to Honey Mitchell after Monday night's brutal cliffhanger. After coming face-to-face with Bea Pollard again, Honey was left unconscious on the floor, leading some to wonder if she'd died.
Last week, Bea faked her death so that she could frame Billy Mitchell for murder. In Monday's episode, which aired on 6 July, Honey realised the police weren't going to take her word for it when she said Bea was unhinged, so decided to take matters into her own hands.
She organised a daytime vigil for Bea, which was livestreamed. She pretended that she was heartbroken that Bea had "died" and said the missing woman was the "best friend" that she ever had. Later in the episode, Bea resurfaced and thanked Honey for her kind words.
When Honey tried to convince her to go to the police so that Billy wouldn't be a murder suspect anymore, the two got into a fight. Bea pushed Honey, causing her to hit her head and knocking her unconscious.
One fan predicted that Honey was not dead and would soon wake up. They said: "Classic ‘knocked unconscious’ soap moment, with Honey being fully unconscious for at least a few minutes but almost guaranteed to wake up without any kind of brain injury."
But another added that they thought death was on the cards. They responded to the first fan, saying: "It would be way more interesting if she died and Bea then used Honey's death to frame Billy even further - not totally realistic but I would watch the hell out of that storyline."
Later, they added that Bea might try to frame Billy, regardless of whether Honey is dead or not. "Actually Honey doesn't even need to die for that to happen, so maybe she will try to frame Billy????" they asked.
Elsewhere, fans were still concerned as the police failed to realise that the "blood" Bea smeared across the wall was actually gravy. "Surely they would have tested the blood and seen the beef joint," a viewer said.
Another fan took issue with the fact that the police were testing the "blood" against Honey, Will and Janet to make sure it was Bea's, as if they tested the blood on it's own they would see that it is mostly beef. "Police are dumb as usual like I don’t think they need honey’s blood to test it for blood when they could run it by itself with forensics."
Previously, fans had thought the police would quickly realise what had happened and go after Bea. An EastEnders viewer that they were "pretty certain" that the police would realise it was gravy on the fridge on Monday, as the constables responding on Thursday were "response officers" and weren't doing a full crime scene analysis yet.
But others have wondered if the fact that Bea cut her hand when she fell during a tussle with Billy meant her blood would be mixed in with the gravy, making the police believe something had happened to her.
