A man was threatened with a knife and had his car stolen in Stockton. The incident occurred on Bowesfield Lane shortly after 4.00pm on Saturday, July 4.

The vehicle was then driven along Yarm Lane and Yarm Road. It was later found abandoned with the suspect leaving the scene. Detectives from Cleveland Police are appealing for information and any witnesses

Detective Sergeant Paul Edmonds from Stockton CID said: “Thankfully the victim was not harmed but was no doubt shaken by what happened. We are continuing our investigation and are currently conducting extensive CCTV enquiries around the area.

“We’d be keen to hear from anyone who saw the incident itself or who may have dashcam of the vehicle being driven as well as any footage which may capture the suspect fleeing the scene.”
