The Maine Celtics selected Josh Roberts sixth overall in the NBA G League Draft on Saturday, one of three picks they made to round out their roster for the upcoming season.

Maine also selected Kaleb Lowery with the 23rd pick and Desmond Cambridge with the 37th pick.

Roberts, a 6-foot-9 power forward, was named the MAAC Defensive Player of the Year while at Manhattan College in 2023. He has played for various teams overseas the last three seasons.

Lowery played one season for the University of Nevada, averaging 4.6 points and 3.1 rebounds. Cambridge played 35 G League games last season between Santa Cruz and San Diego, averaging 6.0 points and 3.1 rebounds.

Maine’s roster will also include two-way players Devin Carter, Dillon Mitchell and Amari Williams, as well as returning players Hayden Gray and Hank Morgan.

The Celtics open their season against the Westchester Knicks on Nov. 7 in Portland.
