MOSCOW, October 26. /TASS/. Global liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports may reach 650 mln cubic meters in 5-10 years, Kremlin aide Yury Ushakov told reporters.

"The LNG market is developing proactively. According to estimates, its global exports may reach 650 mln cubic meters during the next 5-10 years, exceeding the 2025 level by almost 50%," he said.

The African nations account for almost a half of seats in the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) and OPEC, Ushakov noted.

Russia assumed when preparing the summit of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) that its countries promote natural gas as a practical kind of fuel, Kremlin aide Yury Ushakov told reporters.

"The participants agree upon the measures to promote natural gas in global energy markets as a rather affordable, reliable, versatile and practical kind of fuel as part of the forum. Proceeding from this understanding, Russia made the initiative to hold the eighth GECF summit here, in Moscow," Ushakov said. The forum brings together key producers and suppliers of gas and fuel, he added.
