McDonald's McRib is back on the menu from Tuesday, October 27. However, McRib sandwich won't be available on all the restaurants across the United States of America. Initially, McRib sandwich will be available on selected McDonald's outlets in Dallas, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Miami. McDonald's has asked customers to check the company's app to locate the McRib sandwich on the menu, as per a report USA Today.

McDonald's McRib sandwich will be available on California, Iowa, Texas, Michigan, Florida, Tennessee, Missouri, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Oregon, Indiana, San Antonio, San Diego, California.

McDonald's McRib is made of pork, water, salt, dextrose, rosemary extract. McRib is reportedly the creation of McDonald's executive chef Rene Arend.

McDonald's McRib sandwich was first introduced in Kansas City in 1981. Subsequently, in 1982, McDonald's McRib was made available across the United States of America.

Earlier this month, McDonald's has been sued in federal court in Chicago in ​a proposed nationwide class action alleging the fast-food company illegally ‌coordinates menu prices across its franchises and company-owned restaurants through an AI-powered pricing system.

The lawsuit filed on Friday, said McDonald’s violated US antitrust law by ​conspiring with independent franchisees to fix prices using algorithms ​trained on nonpublic data.

Reuters reported last week that McDonald’s pricing ⁠engine uses machine-learning algorithms to continually analyze data from millions ​of daily transactions across its nearly 14,000 restaurants.

The lawsuit cited the ​Reuters article, which said other fast-food companies are also turning to AI to help with pricing and other operations. McDonald’s, in a statement, called the ​allegations speculative and uninformed.

US plaintiffs have filed ​a wave of ​class actions in ⁠recent years alleging that companies used algorithms or AI to illegally coordinate prices for hotel rooms, ​apartment rentals and other purchases.

Lark Turner, a lawyer ​for ⁠the plaintiff, said in a statement, that McDonald's is "leveraging its troves of data and its franchised system to nickel-and-dime consumers down to ⁠the last ​French fry." The plaintiff, an Illinois resident, ​is seeking to represent a class of potentially millions of McDonald's customers, the lawsuit ​said.

McDonald's in August missed U.S. sales growth expectations for the second ‌quarter, blaming execution lapses that blunted its value push aimed at lower-income consumers who have been cutting back restaurant spending.

CEO Chris Kempczinski said weak promotion of value deals and a pullback in digital deals, including its buy-one-add-one promotion, led to ​a drop in visits from loyal customers, which accounted for about two-thirds of the traffic shortfall ​in the quarter.
