Driver arrested on suspicion of murder after man struck, killed in Camarillo Costco parking lot

A driver was arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was struck and killed by a vehicle in a Costco parking lot in Camarillo, authorities said Wednesday.
The incident was reported near Costco’s gas pumps at 437 West Ventura Boulevard just after 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, according to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office.
When deputies arrived, witnesses directed them to a man believed to be the driver, who was detained and identified as 35-year-old Abba Bryski of Agoura Hills.
The man who was hit was taken to a hospital, where he died, the VCSO said. Authorities described him only as a 28-year-old from Modesto. The Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine his cause and manner of death.
Bryski was then arrested and booked on one count of murder, officials said.
The VCSO said its Major Crimes Bureau is investigating the incident as a homicide.
