With both Atlantis The Royal and Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab securing spots in the global top 15, the annual ranking celebrates hotels around the world for their service, design and guest experiences. This year, Atlantis The Royal climbed from No. 6 to No. 4, while Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab moved from No. 20 to No. 15.
Atlantis The Royal
Atlantis The Royal has continued its rise through the World’s 50 Best Hotels ranking, moving up two places from last year’s No. 6 spot to No. 4 in 2026.
The Palm Jumeirah resort opened in 2023 and has quickly become one of Dubai’s most recognisable hotels. Its six interconnected towers are home to 795 rooms and suites, along with a huge collection of restaurants, pools, boutiques and wellness facilities.
Food is a major part of the experience, with restaurants from names including Heston Blumenthal, José Andrés, Nobu and Carbone. Guests can also make use of the resort’s private beaches, Cloud 22, Royal Pool and AWAKEN Wellness facilities.
Atlantis The Royal first appeared on the list at No. 44 in 2023, before climbing to No. 9 in 2024, No. 6 in 2025 and now No. 4.
Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab
Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab has also climbed higher on the global list, moving from No. 20 in 2025 to No. 15 this year.
The yacht-shaped hotel opened in March 2025 and forms the final part of Jumeirah’s nautical-inspired trio alongside Burj Al Arab and Jumeirah Beach Hotel.
The 386-room property features four swimming pools, a private beach, an 82-berth yacht marina and a three-storey spa. There are also 11 restaurants, offering plenty of choice for guests staying at the resort.
Its design takes inspiration from life at sea, with the exterior shaped like a superyacht and rooms designed to make the most of views across the Arabian Gulf, Burj Al Arab and Dubai coastline.
Having debuted at No. 20 last year, its move to No. 15 means the hotel has climbed five places in just its second year on the list.
