Yesterday, the UK-based Duchess was seen laying a festive-themed table with fresh offerings from As Ever, shortly before 'sickening' child sex image accusations against her father emerged.
Meghan Markle has showcased an impressive Christmas wardrobe that includes a £41,000 emerald necklace, £1,700 ivory dress and £25,000 diamond bracelet.
The Duchess of Sussex, 45, yesterday promoted the second part of her lifestyle brand's new festive range on Instagram, showing off a £134 leather notebook, a £97 'heirloom handwoven rattan charger set' and a £73 blue-and-white porcelain teapot.
In the promotional material, Prince Harry's wife wore a stunning $2,400 (£1,800) dress from New York-based luxury womenswear label Khaite, and a new necklace from one of her favourite brands, Logan Hollowell, that costs a whopping $55,650 (£41,590).
However, Meghan's holiday release was overshadowed by 'sickening' child sex image accusations against her father Thomas Markle Snr this morning.
The Duchess said she is 'deeply distressed' over the allegations, claiming she has been aware of them for eight years. She revealed claims against Markle Snr were passed to her in 2018 after a letter was sent to the Metropolitan Police's royal protection team.
She also explained she had never allowed her father to meet her children Prince Archie, seven, and five-year-old Princess Lilibet 'for one reason: to protect them'.
Before Meghan's statement, Mr Markle had vehemently denied possessing child sex images, calling the accusations 'sick lies'.
The Duchess, who moved back to Britain over the summer after six years in the US, has been estranged from Mr Markle since she married Prince Harry in May 2018.
On Thursday, Meghan was seen laying a festive-themed table with fresh offerings from As Ever, like a £97 'heirloom handwoven rattan charger set' and a blue-and-white porcelain teapot, priced at around £73.
Meghan Markle debuted a new £41,000 necklace in a 10-second clip to promote her lifestyle brand's new festive homeware range
Meghan first announced she was working on a festive collection last month, when she unveiled As Ever's £112 ($148) advent calendar in collaboration with Compartes chocolates
Meghan has been promoting the festive range in her first commercial venture since returning to the UK with Prince Harry and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet
Along with the 'Maison Verde' oval neckpiece from Logan Hollowell, Meghan wore her wedding ring, an unidentified pear-shaped diamond ring on her right hand, her £5,000 Cartier Love bracelet and Diana's famed Cartier Tank Française watch worth £17,800 in the clip.
Other pieces included Meghan's bedazzled Oura Ring fitness tracker, complete with a £2,100 diamond-encrusted sleeve by Logan Hollowell, which she was first pictured wearing in July.
Meghan first announced she was working on a festive collection last month, when she unveiled As Ever's £112 ($148) advent calendar in collaboration with Compartes chocolates.
At the time, it was revealed she had made sizable additions to her jewellery collection, including a diamond bracelet from Logan Hollowell worth nearly £25,000.
The jewel appeared to be a tribute to Prince Harry's late mother, as it's called the 'Diana Diamond Bracelet'. She also wore the brand's Reverse Water Drop Martini Studs, which retail for $5,575 (£4,200).
Another standout piece was a glittering yellow-gold tennis necklace by American jewellery designer Jennifer Meyer, who recently married billionaire heir Geoffrey Ogunlesi.
Meghan's new adornment costs $61,250, or roughly £46,000.
Her outfit comprised a $695 cream cashmere sweater from Co and a khaki silk skirt by Argent Bias that retails for $250 but is no longer available to buy.
Meghan finished the look with powder-pink, ruched ballet flats from Aquazzura that retail for $1,369.
The Duchess of Sussex, 44, also wore a £1,800 jumper while promoting As Ever's £134 leather notebook that is part of the second instalment of As Ever's Christmas collection
Admirers of the Duchess' style can buy the clothing and jewellery she wore while looking at her Advent calendar on her OneOff fashion page, through which she earns a percentage of sales.
She is believed to receive a commission on sales that ranges from 10 to 25 per cent per item sold. Meghan is also an investor in the AI-powered fashion business.
However, the marketing strategy backfired earlier this year when the outfit she wore while hugging survivors of the Bondi Beach terror attack, in which 15 people were killed, was also promoted via her OneOff page.
After the advent calendar, Meghan announced that the Christmas collection includes new hampers with a picture of her cooking inside a luxurious kitchen.
For the shoot, she donned a black turtleneck with matching slim-fit trousers and a gingham apron.
Although her exact outfit details are not known, she accessorised with the Diana diamond bracelet, her regular wrist and the snazzy, bejewelled fitness tracker.
This was followed by yesterday's posts, including the sleek video of her laying a dinner table.
She also posed for pictures to promote As Ever's new 'Penny for your thoughts' leather notebook, with Meghan wearing a $2,400 mohair and silk-blend cardigan and $620 jeans from Khaite.
And when she teased 'more holiday magic' in an Instagram Reel that showed her stuffing stockings with chocolate and lighting candles ahead of yesterday's launch, the Duchess wore another Khaite jumper worth $1,580.
It comes as Meghan released a statement about the child sex image allegations against Thomas Markle Sr, which he vehemently denies.
She said: 'I am deeply distressed at the news that has come to light in the last 24 hours, and my thoughts are with any children who may have been harmed.
'In 2018, a letter was sent to the Metropolitan Police and Royalty and Specialist Protection. That letter was subsequently shared with me. It made troubling and disturbing allegations against my father and I was given assurances that these were being investigated.
'I hope it can now be understood that, despite certain media publications' distortion over the years, any distance from my father and my choice not to allow him to have contact with our children was for one reason: to protect them.
'I trusted that the authorities were doing the same for other families.
'Although the breadth of what has now been uncovered is more sickening than one could ever imagine, my sincerest hope is that justice will be fully served and that the priority remains the safety and protection of innocent children.'
Before Meghan's statement, Mr Markle had vehemently denied possessing child sex images, calling the accusations 'sick lies'.
Mr Markle said allegations made by his son, Tom Jr, that he downloaded a huge stash of child sex abuse images onto computers and cellphones 'is the worst thing anyone could accuse me of'.
Meghan's 82-year-old father spoke exclusively to the Daily Mail from a rehab centre in Florida, where he is learning to walk with a prosthetic limb after his left leg was amputated below the knee last December following a massive blood clot.
He said: 'I'm shocked, I'm hurt, and I'm very upset that my son is making these accusations against me. I could never do what I'm being accused of. It's the worst thing anyone could accuse me of.
'This is bulls****. It's just a bunch of lies. It's sick. I have no idea why Tom is trying to destroy me with these lies.'
Meghan's half-brother Tom Jr, 60, made the bombshell claims to The Sun, saying he found 'hundreds' of child sex images stored on computers and a cellphone in four large storage boxes 'left behind' by Mr Markle when he moved back to the States from the Philippines earlier this year.
Meghan's new crowning jewel is an emerald necklace from one of the Duchess' favourite brands, Logan Hollowell, that costs a whopping $55,650 or £41,590
Meghan was also seen wearing a $61,250 necklace from Jennifer Meyer
She also wore the 'Reverse Water Drop Martini Studs' that sell for $5,575, or around £4,200.
'Chapter Two' of Meghan's holiday collection was revealed yesterday and includes 'sweet treats', fragrances, the 'Trellis tabletop collection' and 'thoughtful gifts for everyone on your list,' she announced in a post on As Ever's Instagram account.
The photo showed a pair of woven copper-coloured coasters, a blue teacup and saucer, jam cookies and Meghan's signature As Ever raspberry spread artfully arranged on a wooden table.
The products are currently only available to buy in the US, but there has been speculation that Meghan could eventually bring her £11 tins of tea and £50 scented candles to the UK in recent weeks.
Meghan first teased 'Chapter Two' of As Ever's festive collection in a message to her newsletter subscribers titled 'Hosting with Heart' that was sent on Wednesday evening.
She shared that her 'secret to hosting with ease' is 'preparation' and told readers to 'take care of the little details before the doorbell rings'.
New launches include a $130 'heirloom handwoven rattan charger set' and a blue-and-white porcelain teapot, priced at $98 - or around £73.
Shoppers can get their hands on the collection's new $98 'Penny for Your Thoughts' leather notebook - branded on the As Ever website as a 'simple luxury for everyday use and enjoyment.'
One of the priciest gifts is the $535 'Library Basket' hamper. Coming in at just under £400, the hamper comes with a signature leather-bound notebook, coasters, card set, candle and matchbox.
Customers can also indulge in a $75 'Trophy Chocolate Bar Gift Set' featuring five 'beloved' bars of the confectionery. The chocolates - described as 'limited edition' - are created in collaboration with Los Angeles-based Compartés, the chocolatiers behind Meghan's pricey advent calendar.
Also on offer is Meghan's 'curated' popcorn medley, marketed at the high price of $65.
The popcorn, listed as a 'luxury taste of nostalgia' on the As Ever page, comes in milk chocolate, white chocolate and salted popcorn flavours and is topped with Meghan's signature 'flower sprinkles.'
The Duchess' Christmas range hasn't been without its controversy, after a British priest faced backlash online from 'Sussex Squad' supporters when publicising a £6 charity advent calendar in contrast to the one promoted by Prince Harry's wife.
Anglican priest and London university chaplain the Reverend Daniel French suggested that people could instead buy the charity advent calendar that is almost 20 times cheaper and contains Fairtrade chocolate.
The alternative he recommended also raises money for a leprosy charity and comes with a 'little booklet on the meaning of Christmas', he told his followers.
Sharing an image of Meghan alongside her As Ever product, Rev French wrote: 'For £5.99 you can pre-order a Christian Advent Calendar with Fairtrade chocolate from the Meaningful Chocolate Company. A donation is made to The Leprosy Mission.'
The calendar also comes with a 24-page Christmas story and activity booklet celebrating the birth of Christ.
But Rev French's post sparked a backlash from members of the Sussex Squad, who branded him 'satan spawn' and 'evil', while claiming he had an 'ugly heart for a so-called Christian'.
His Protestant colleague Father Chris Phillips – whose parish is in Benhilton, south-west London – backed the priest on X, prompting a fresh wave of angry responses, to which he replied that he had 'encountered the Sussex Squad on here', adding: 'Wow.'
His defenders have said he has been 'terrorised' by 'deranged trolls' ever since, forcing him to lock down his account. Trolls claimed he was a 'coward' for doing so.
After 24 hours of online abuse, including threats and defamatory suggestions about his character, he was forced to lock his account and blocked a number of pro-Meghan supporters.
Both priests have been asked to comment.
