Xbox has announced the Nano Controller, its smallest controller yet. It costs $49.99, weighs just 3.5 ounces, and keeps all 18 standard inputs. Here’s everything you need to know.

Xbox has announced the Nano Controller, the smallest controller the company has ever made. It’s designed for kids, players with smaller hands, and people who like to game outside the living room. The Nano measures a little over 5 inches long and weighs 3.5 ounces.
Even at this size, Xbox hasn’t removed any controls. You get all 18 standard inputs, so the button layout matches the Xbox controller you already know. I’m curious to see how it feels in adult hands during long gaming sessions, but for younger players, the smaller size makes a lot of sense.
What features does the Xbox Nano controller get?The Nano uses a rechargeable battery, although Xbox hasn’t shared how long a single charge will last. There’s also a programmable Action Button that you can assign to capture screenshots, record gameplay, or trigger a shortcut you use frequently. I would probably set mine to screenshots.
It connects through Xbox Wireless and Bluetooth, so you can use it with any compatible device. Xbox is also positioning the Nano as a controller for the whole family. For games that support online co-op, spending $49.99 on an extra controller for a younger sibling won’t hurt your wallet as much as buying a full-size one might.
Xbox
Of course, you can find better and cheaper gaming controllers if your willing to look beyond the Xbox brand. Because while the Nano is cheaper than the full size Xbox controller, it’s still on the pricier side when compared to the competition.
How much does it cost, and where can you buy it?You can pre-order the Xbox Nano Controller today for $49.99. It will start shipping in November in 36 countries, including the US, UK, Canada, Japan, and Australia, and more markets will be added later. Prices will vary by country.

Xbox Cloud Gaming gets a standalone pay-as-you-go option
The service starts at $3.99 for 10 hours, and unused playtime won’t expire until you use it up.

Microsoft may already be putting pieces of its rumored Game Pass overhaul into place. A recent report claimed that Xbox CEO Asha Sharma is planning a major rethink of the subscription service that could let players pay separately for features such as cloud gaming, multiplayer, and console-only games. Xbox has now started testing a pay-as-you-go version of Cloud Gaming that does not require a Game Pass subscription.

BioWare is closing, and the next Mass Effect is going with it
The closure ends more than three decades of RPG history and follows years of troubled releases.

Electronic Arts is shutting down BioWare after more than three decades, bringing the curtain down on the studio behind Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Baldur’s Gate, and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. EA also canceled the next Mass Effect in early development, and the closure is part of a wider restructuring that will reportedly eliminate around 400 jobs across EA.
Roughly 50 of those positions are reportedly at BioWare, and EA is also closing the studio’s Edmonton workspace. BioWare confirmed the news in its own farewell message, thanking the developers and players who helped build its games over the past 30 years.
We now have a phone with two active fans to keep it chill, and a ginormous battery too.
Two fans, a 185Hz display, and batteries so big that you won't need a power bank.

Putting an active cooling fan inside a gaming smartphone is not a revolutionary idea. Red Magic phones have done this for a while, but Honor apparently thinks a single fan isn't enough to cool the demanding Qualcomm flagship chip, so it included two in its new Win 2 gaming smartphone.
The Chinese company unveiled the device alongside the Honor Win RT2 and Win Turbo2, both of which come with a ridiculous 12,070mAh battery.
