GTA 6 has already sold 6.45 million units, and it is still a month away from release. So far it has made $630 million, and it is only coming out on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series first.

The next Grand Theft Auto game comes out on November 19, and players can download it a few days early. Take-Two and Rockstar decided to sell it only in digital format. The box will just hold a code to download the game.

The cost of making the game has not been shared. But with this many sales a month before launch, it has likely paid back a big part of it already.

PlayStation 5 players have pre-ordered the game the most. They hold 74% of pre-orders, which is $468 million and 4.80 million copies. Xbox players hold the other 26%, which is $162 million and 1.66 million copies.

Sony’s console has been ahead of Xbox since pre-orders first opened.

These numbers are from October 20. There is still a month left to sell more, plus the Christmas season. With all of that, the game will likely earn back much of what it cost to make.

In other news, Rockstar is reportedly sending free GTA 6 posters to fans who simply email the studio, and several Reddit users say it worked for them.
