The Beverly Hills Hotel will introduce a new supper club and several additional dining and entertainment spaces later this year, marking what the hotel described as its most significant addition in decades.

The Supper Club, designed by American interior designer Ken Fulk, will be located off the hotel lobby and feature dining, live entertainment and seating for 94 guests. The project is intended to create a new gathering place within the historic hotel while drawing inspiration from the traditional supper clubs of an earlier era.

The expansion is the largest addition to the property since architect Paul Revere Williams designed the Crescent Wing in 1949. Williams also helped establish elements of the hotel’s recognizable pink-and-green aesthetic and signage.

The hotel said plans for the new spaces were first conceived approximately a decade ago and developed over several years through conversations with neighbors and members of the surrounding community.

In addition to The Supper Club, the expansion will include a cocktail bar with an outdoor veranda overlooking the Los Angeles skyline, an indoor-outdoor lobby lounge, a screening room and a private dining room.

The lobby lounge is expected to serve locally sourced food, coffee and high tea during the day, with cocktails and small plates offered in the evening.

The hotel’s existing Polo Lounge, Fountain Coffee Room and Cabana Cafe will remain unchanged.

The Supper Club will combine live music with a menu developed by chef Mattia Agazzi, formerly head chef of Gucci Osteria Beverly Hills. Agazzi’s menu will draw from Italian culinary traditions while incorporating California produce, seafood, meats and handmade pasta.

Entertainment will be curated by Alex Le Roux of ALR Music. The musical program is expected to span several generations and genres, with influences ranging from Ray Charles and Aretha Franklin to Sabrina Carpenter and Drake.

The design by Fulk will include plush banquette seating oriented toward a stage, allowing guests to watch performances while dining.

Among the room’s design features will be a custom ceiling mural by artist Caroline Lizarraga depicting the night sky above Beverly Hills as it appeared on May 12, 1912, when the hotel opened. The constellation motif also influenced other design details throughout the room.

The hotel said the goal is for The Supper Club to serve as a gathering place for artists, musicians, filmmakers, business leaders and other guests.

“The Beverly Hills Hotel has long been the place where people come together, memories are formed and stories told,” general manager John Scanlon said. “Our guests and friends have told us they want even more ways to enjoy the singular atmosphere of our hotel, and we’ve listened.”

Scanlon said the new venues are intended to expand the hotel’s dining and nightlife offerings while complementing its longtime restaurants and gathering spaces.

“We’re delighted to be introducing a new collection of culinary and cocktail destinations that will add an extra dimension to the social life of this special place while celebrating its enduring glamour,” he said.
