More than 300 employees will be impacted by the upcoming closure of the Pilgrim's Pride plant in downtown Chattanooga on Friday. Many of these people have experience in production and manufacturing roles and will soon be seeking new employment opportunities.

To support these workers, the City of Chattanooga, through its Chattanooga Works initiative, is partnering with the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce and the Southeast Tennessee Development District to host a job fair.

The fair will be held from 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. on Monday at the Carver Community Center, 600 N. Orchard Knob Ave., Chattanooga.

Organizers said, "We are seeking Chamber member businesses that currently have open positions and are interested in connecting with qualified job seekers. This is an excellent opportunity to meet individuals who are ready to enter the workforce and bring valuable experience to your organization."
