WASHINGTON, October 20. /TASS/. US President Donald Trump's special Steve Witkoff discussed security guarantees for Ukraine with representatives from Kyiv and Europe at a meeting in Oslo, Reuters said, citing sources.

According to the sources, Ukraine put forward new ideas and proposals to the talks in Norway. They did not disclose details, saying only that the discussions centered around elements of a comprehensive peace concept, including security guarantees. They also said that Witkoff intends to build on progress made with Ukraine and Europe and discuss these proposals with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday.

A Ukrainian delegation led by Vladimir Zelensky met with Witkoff and European representatives in Norway on Tuesday. A source told TASS earlier that Witkoff’s plans to visit Russia on Wednesday had been confirmed.
