Running back Bradley Farrell threw a 5-yard touchdown pass to quarterback Giovanni D’Elia with 7.5 seconds left and Blake Morris made his fifth extra point to give Kennebunk a 35-34 win over Fryeburg Academy in a Class B South football game Friday night in Fryeburg.

The Rams (5-1), who have won four straight, had the ball at the Fryeburg 5 after D’Elia completed a 15-yard pass along the sideline to Peter Landenberger. On first-and-goal, D’Elia went in motion and the snap went to running back Ethan White, who pitched it to Farrell. He found D’Elia open in the corner of the end zone.

Fryeburg (2-4) was in position to win after Marcus Sutton threw a 52-yard touchdown pass to Lars Bruhn with 10:58 left. The Rams had a chance to take the lead later in the fourth but fumbled into the Fryeburg end zone, where it was recovered by Conner Keaten.

Kennebunk force the Raiders to punt, however, and started the winning drive at its own 35 with 1:53 to go.

Fryeburg missed an extra point after Sutton’s 15-yard touchdown pass to Bruhn with 12.4 seconds left in the second quarter.

Kennebunk took a 7-0 lead in the first quarter on a 1-yard run by D’Elia. Fryeburg tied it on a 6-yard run by Buk Awe, before White gave the Rams the lead back on a 6-yard run.

Bruhn scored on a 6-yard run to tie it again, but Kennebunk went up 21-14 when Farrell threw a 41-yard pass to Charlie Pentland and Morris made the extra point with 1:01 left in the first half.

Bruhn then caught a 90-yard touchdown pass from Sutton to put the Raiders up 27-21 with 2:49 left in the third quarter. White’s 1-yard run on the first play of the fourth quarter put Kennebunk back in front.

PORTLAND 28, BANGOR 21: Alex Martin dove inside the right pylon for a 15-yard touchdown with 13.3 seconds remaining, giving the Bulldogs (5-1) a win over the Rams (2-3) in Portland.

Bangor erased a 21-7 halftime deficit, as Gavin Hughes caught his second and third touchdown passes of the night from Alex Tennett — 19 yards in the third quarter and 37 yards midway through the fourth.

On the ensuing drive, Portland passed up a chance to try a 36-yard field goal after Bangor timeout, and a fourth-down pass fell incomplete. The Rams were quickly forced to punt, however, and a 39-yard pass from Portland QB Reece Wildes to Quinn Derrig moved the ball to the Bangor 15. Martin scored on the next play, racing around right end.

Bangor opened the scoring in the first quarter on a 7-yard reception by Hughes, moments after he caught a short pass from Tennett and raced 70 yards before he was brought down at the 8.

Portland tied early in the second quarter on a 19-yard pass from Wildes to Derrig. Martin then put the Bulldogs ahead with a 1-yard run, and Portland extended its lead to 21-7 when Bailey Jordan picked off a tipped pass in the backfield and rumbled 55 yards for a touchdown.
