About the position

Université de Lorraine is a member of EURECA-PRO (European University on Responsible Consumption and Production), a European University Alliance funded by the Erasmus+ programme and bringing together nine European universities around education, research and innovation related to responsible consumption and production.

Université de Lorraine is recruiting an Education Project Officer to coordinate its contribution to the Alliance's educational activities and support the development of international and collaborative education opportunities.

Working within the EURECA-PRO project team, the successful candidate will act as a key interface between Université de Lorraine and the Alliance's partner universities.

Key responsibilities

Coordinate EURECA-PRO education activities at Université de Lorraine

• Coordinate the University's internal network of stakeholders involved in EURECA-PRO education activities.
• Act as the interface between Université de Lorraine and Alliance partners on education-related matters.
• Participate in working groups and coordinate follow-up, information sharing and reporting.
• Contribute to the Alliance's education activities, including study programmes, doctoral education, joint courses, lecture series, summer/winter schools and other international learning formats.

• Contribute to the development of the EURECA-PRO Doctoral School, Education Council, quality assurance activities and European Degree initiatives.

  Develop and promote international education opportunities

• Identify Bachelor, Master and PhD programmes and educational activities at Université de Lorraine that could be shared with Alliance partners.
• Support the development of joint programmes, shared modules, common learning pathways and courses taught in English.
• Connect academic and administrative stakeholders to develop new international education opportunities.

• Promote EURECA-PRO educational opportunities within Université de Lorraine and support student and staff participation.

  Support European project development

• Contribute to the development and implementation of collaborative education projects.
• Monitor developments in European higher education, including Erasmus+, the European Degree and European quality assurance.
• Contribute to project reporting, funding opportunities and the preparation of European activities and events.

Profile

We are looking for a candidate with experience in higher education, European cooperation, international projects, education development or project coordination.

Knowledge and skills:

• Good knowledge of the French and European higher education environments.
• Experience in project coordination and/or international cooperation.
• Strong organisational, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
• Experience with European projects or higher education internationalisation is an asset.

Languages:

• French and English: C1 level or above, written and spoken.
• Knowledge of another European language is an advantage.

Working environment

The position is based in Nancy or Metz and involves close cooperation with the International Relations and European Affairs Directorate, education and doctoral services, and other relevant departments at Université de Lorraine.

The role includes regular interaction with EURECA-PRO partner universities across Europe, as well as occasional international travel.
