Diane Anglin, a lifelong Montclair resident and president of the Montclair NAACP, has been named executive director of The Montclair Inn.

Anglin assumed the role Sept. 9, according to Montclair Shared Housing Association, the nonprofit that operates The Montclair Inn. The organization provides affordable shared housing for older adults.

Anglin brings more than 25 years of experience in nonprofit management, residential human services, fundraising and community engagement.

“We are honored that Diane has chosen to bring her talents and decades of community-building experience to The Montclair Inn,” Starr Preston, vice president of the Montclair Shared Housing Association Board of Trustees, said in a statement. “Our mission has always been about more than providing an affordable place for older adults to live. It is about creating a home where people can live with dignity, connection, and a true sense of community.”

Anglin most recently served as assistant director of development at Bonnie Brae, where her work included fundraising, donor engagement and stewardship, and developing corporate and community partnerships. Her previous experience includes positions with Programs for Parents, REAL House and The Kintock Group.

Anglin said taking the position has particular significance because of her longtime ties to Montclair.

“The opportunity to lead The Montclair Inn is especially meaningful to me because it brings together two things that have shaped so much of my life: nonprofit service and the Montclair community,” Anglin said. “I look forward to getting to know the residents, staff, families, supporters, and partners who make The Inn so special and working together to build on its strong foundation.”
